The Carolina Cancer Foundation's mission is to bring state-of-the-art care to cancer patients across Horry and Georgetown Counties.  The foundation offers these services for our area: 

• Coordinating patient advocacy                                                                                                                                          Carolina Cancer Foundation works on both the state and national levels to improve the quality of life and ensure the highest standard of care for cancer patients in Horry and Georgetown Counties. We act as a liaison to our state and national governments to communicate the health care needs of our patients. Our members make frequent trips to advise our legislative leaders on oncology issues.

• Providing cancer education                                                                                                                                            Carolina Cancer Foundation coordinates community education efforts regarding cancer prevention, early detection and treatment. We proudly participate in many annual community events to raise cancer awareness at the local level. 

• Assisting uninsured and underinsured cancer patients by supporting coverage treatment efforts           Within budgetary capabilities, Carolina Cancer Foundation offers support to uninsured and underinsured cancer patients in Horry and Georgetown Counties to help with the expense of chemotherapy, chemotherapy administration, radiation, and cancer supportive care drugs.  Local events, fundraisers and your contributions help us offset those costs. We also provide referrals to local social service counseling and other agencies.
