Carolina Cancer Foundation officials, in conjunction with Coastal Cancer Center, announce June 1 as the date of the 2014 Survivors Day celebration in Myrtle Beach.
Coordinators plan to announce the venue for the annual event in the coming weeks, according to officials.
The 2013 event drew more than 400 survivors and their families to the Marina Inn at the Grand Dunes in Myrtle Beach to celebrate survivorship. It marked the 10th year the event has been celebrated in the Grand Strand.
Annual National Cancer Survivors Day is the world’s largest cancer survivorship event. Thousands of similar events take place each year in communities across the United States, Canada and other participating countries.
